A Nightmare on Elm Street

Saw this at the Spring today. Characters from the movie "A nightmare on Elm Street".

Too bad this photo turned out to be blurred. Can't really blame the photographer too since he's sick.

So I can only blamed my "bad luck".

Pray silently: Hope I won't get any nightmare tonight.... Please please please......

Repo Men 2010

Today, Fat Pig and I watched a long overdue movie called Repo Men. He somehow managed to download it despite his area sucks Digi 3G line and it's a uncensored version.

Basically this is the storyline: In the near future, if your organ failed and need to be replaced, there's a "organization" that can actually provide you an artificial organ and keep you alive. But the trouble is it's high cost. However, you can actually opt to pay the debt over a period of time with certain amount of interest. (Sounds familiar? Credit card? Bank loan?) Basically, once you cannot pay for the high maintenance, they sent out Repo Men to rip your body open and pull the organ out.

It's kind of gross with a lot of blood scene. Even the Fat Pig tore his eyes away from the laptop screen, where as I was keeping my eyes on the screen without trying to grimace or gag.

One of the scene where Repo Man was preparing for the "major" operation.

However, there's a twist to the ending of this movie which was wholly unexpected even for me. I just cannot believe that is the ending of the story. I mean what is the moral or objective this movie is trying to tell us? That what Repo Men is doing is all legal and it will continue? Sound to me like legal loan shark is allowed to operate in broad day light.

NY Eve's dinner @ Magenta

Went to Magenta for New Year Eve's dinner. =) Some of the food photos that was taken using my lousy camera phone. The lighting was dimmed, to make the environment nice, but then it sucks when you need to take photographs.

Then we went and watched Sherlock Holmes, which in my opinion, is nicer than Avatar, which some might disagree, but then I prefer normal handsome looking human guys (not one but two) than some blue creatures that shout by opening the mouth big big and making hissing voice like a snake. But then I do like the special effects and the moral of the story to preserve the mother natures.

New Year went shopping with Cheryl. Bought another dress. ~___~

SAY it's nice!!

Well, that's how I spent my New Year. ;) Better than last year where I need to stay at home due to twisted toe.

Wishing everyone:

A HAPPY 2010. This year is definitely better than last year.

The Guardian

So, what did I do taking sick leave and staying at home most of the time (Well, nearly all the time except when I go out see doctor). The doctor advised me to stay at home and don't go out until I recover, I guess he gets sick seeing me go there everyday. Hehe...

Ok, joke aside, what did I do? Today I watch a very meaningful and touching story. The guardian. I know I know, it's a very very old movie (2006). But I didn't manage to watch it until now (3 days MC)

The story is about the US coast guard, and their job to go out during natural disaster such as storm or hurricane to safe lives. It's such a touching story. I was in tears towards the ending. (Reminder: Spoiler ahead)

"There is a legend of a man who lives beneath the sea. He is a fisher of men, the last hope of all those who have been left behind. Many survivors claim to have felt his gripping hands beneath them; pushing them up to the surface; whispering strength until help could arrive. But this, of course, is only a legend."

Caught your attention? The main actor is a very brave coast guard. In the end, he sacrificed himself to save his student. (So touching) This is almost like a scene in Armageddon, where the father sacrifice his life for his daughter's fiance's life. (I always have a soft spot for this kind of movie. But definitely not Titanic. It's a bit fake in my opinion)

Terminator Salvation and Angels & Demons

Hahahahaha......

WHY?

Because I'm happy and satisfy.

WHY?

Because today is a holiday for me.

But WHY is it a holiday for me?

Because of force leave lor.....

Now, back to why I'm happy today. Hehe.. Because I had a movie marathon. Woo Hoo!! Watched two mega hit movies, Terminator Salvation and Angels & Demons.

Muah muah muah..... Feeling very satisfying. Because it's been quite a while I watched a movie in the cinema. Rather than telling u ppl what is nice about the movie, which I bet u heard a lot already, I'm going to tell what I don't like about the movie.

1. Terminator Salvation
I don't like how in the end the guy/machine Marcus has to sacrifice to give his heart to John Connor, and there is no introduction in the story why Marcus had to be executed in the first place.

2. Angels & Demons
What I really hate is how in the end it's the Camerlengo who is the real master mind behind all this. I thought in the end, the story finally have a good ending, the RC is going to be lead by a good "son of the God". In the end...... Sigh.... Really not expecting that.

Ok lah. That's the ending to my rattling. For those of you who haven't watch the movie, go watch it. If you want to wait, then might as well wait till Transformer which will be airing soon.

Shinjuku Incident

To tell you the truth, I was anticipating this movie because, well, the actor is Daniel Wu. Mind you, it's Daniel Wu, not Jackie Chan. But 2 minutes into the movie, and I saw the screen display, main actor - Jackie Chan. And that's it!! No mention of Daniel Wu's name, nor other females actress. And that is when I had a bad feeling about this.

And it turned up to be true. This is how he appeared in the movie. Man!!

He is suppose to look like this!!

18SX. (No drooling please..)

I can't believe it!!

Wahoo!! The ever famous Dan Brown's book, Angels & Demons is coming to the big screen sooner than I finish reading the book. I have to say, this is one of my most anticipated movie this year. =)

TVB newest drama series

Last night, I watched the latest TVB drama series (currently still downloading) "The master of Tai Chi". Continously watched 5 episodes last night after dinner without taking a break. Tonight if I still have the time, I will continue my persuit. ^_^ (Although the latest episode available for downloading is only Episode 11) The drama was lead by one of the chinese actor that I really like

*

*

*

Vincent Zhao Wen Zhou.

I always had the liking for martial arts actor since when I'm small. I think all these guys are really "Man" in the movie. Especially the character "Wong Fei Hung". I grow up watching these type of movie. That's why my favorite chinese male actors are Jet Li and Zhao Wen Zhou. It's not the typical Andy Lau or Tony Leung nor pretty face boy Takeshi Kaneshiro.

In most of the 80's or 90's movie, most of the movie/drama starring Jet Li/Vincent Zhao is the typical male character with supreme martial art skill/kung fu. Although they are the top in their field, apparently they have no social skill how to court girls or have a decent talk with opposite sex. But this does not mean that they do not care for their love one (which in fact they really care a lot about their love ones, just brotherhood/mission in life is more important than lover).

Hehe.. last time I used to think that this is the type of guy that I will fall in love with. But after growing up and having relationship, I notice that this is not the typical guy category that girl will look for as future boyfriend/husband. Haha... So, my dream scatters. But still..... I like watching their movie.

p/s: I do think they are really handsome. Although some might say they are so-so.

Addicted to Korean drama ~ Thank you

Ladies and gentlemen, I am back. Hehe.. Currently nothing to update my blog. Cuz my weekend is super duber boring. Stay at home watch tv and online only. But luckily one friend from Singapore come back. Sunday afternoon was spend chit chatting with him at Coffee bean. =)

Recently addicted to this korean movie broadcasting at CETV, china channel. At first I wasn't really interested to watch this drama, thus i miss a couple of the episodes. Man~ don't i feel regret. Now, every night i am "fighting" with my mum and my bro for the drama since each of us prefer different channel. Hehe... sound childish hoh~

Well here is the OST of the drama. This drama is so so touching. Haven't even reach the last few episode but i am moved to tears in certain scene, especially when the little cute girl found out that she had AIDS. And the main actor really really leng zai. Hehe.. love him since the first time i saw him in "The successful story of a bright young girl".

And lastly, The MV, ta~ da~

The invasion from outer space??

Ever wonder other lifes besides us in the outer space? A similar earth or a similar you.. in the same world but thousands or millions of light years away? Ever ponder on the question of ET? or the silver surfer as in Fantastic 4?

When i was young, my little mind cannot comprehend that there is another world beyond this earth. Nevertheless, even as i grow older, i might be able to accept this bizarre concept, but up until now I haven't gotten any solid proof that there is such living creature in outer space.

The movie:- The Invasion by Nicole Kidmand and Daniel Craig is about a virus or microorganism that is attached to a space ship and invaded our earth. This virus spread like a flu to all the human being in contact through body fluid. And then human being are being controlled by this virus and become static and cold. However, apparently there are people who are immune to it. And in the end, human being manage to find a vaccine and cure this disease. Homo Sapiens triumphs again!

Nevertheless, i did got scared a few times, especially during the transformation. The "cocoon" stage human being when the virus finally take over is scare #1. Scare #2 is when Nicole is being surrounded by the alien human being..... Guess i should stop giving spoilers now.. Go and watch this movie when you are free.

Transformer.. Nike??

I had to admit, the coolest movie that i had watch so far is Transformer. A full 2 hours plus movie, the movie is really full of excitement, humour and action packed. I actually developed a feeling for Bumblebee. How i wish i had a car that, or should i say "who", is my guardian angel like the main actor had. That will be super cool. I can drive a super cool car and at the same time, the car is able to transform and protect me when i am in danger. =D

But what happened if your guardian angel turn out to be a sport shoes? Hehe.. then most probably it will be a mini "protector" then. Check out what japanese (the Kiasu ppl) use to fight Western Transformer.....

不能说的秘密

When i first heard about this song in the radio, i think this song is just so-so. Nothing really touched me like other songs. But when i go watch the movie - "Secret"; I'm beginning to like the song. I had to admit that it's the movie that make me like the song and not the song first then the movie. Jay Chou's first movie, although i don't really think he is a "才子", but the movie is really out of my expectation. It is much much better than some of the drama series done by Taiwanese. For those who had the same initial idea like me, i strongly recommend you to go watch this movie. Then you will change your mind about the movie. (Although i had to admit that there is quite a few of loop holes since it's Jay's virgin movie)

Well, this is the lyrics for the theme song
