eoe online printing service

I first came across eoe online last year when my fellow bloggers were introducing this service at their blog. At first I was very skeptical about the offer and thus I do not bother to learn more. But after my fellow bloggers receive their free 50 4R photos then only I believe it.

Okay, now most of you will be wondering what is eoe? It's basically a virtual photo producing company. The only differences are

1) You DO NOT have to drive all the way to the shop to have your photos printed out.
2) You DO NOT have to linger around the shop for 30 min or maybe 50 min doing nothing while waiting for your photo to be produced.
3) You ONLY have to pay a fraction of what normal shop offers and have the photos delivered right to your door step WITHOUT stepping out from your home in the comfort of your air con room. A new technology call E-print!

eoe is currently having a promotion where a 4R print only costs you RM0.30 per piece and 5R at RM0.50. How economically it is. I printed out my Bali photo from a normal photo shop that cost me RM0.40 for ONE 4R print.

Besides that the lower unbelievable online print promotion, there's also no minimum quantity required and free delivery for purchase of RM35 and above!!

Besides that, there's promotion for the bloggers as well. Do a review on eoe Online and get 50x4R and 2x8R photo prints for Free! For more detail, check out HERE.

Pardon me now, because I need to start selecting my Bali, Bangkok, KK photos to be uploaded into eoe online. Yay, I'm so happy.....

Help SCCS (Sarawak Children's Cancer Society), Go Bald

Well, not me unfortunately for some, and fortunately for me. It's my colleague. SHE is going bald!! While I act as her treasurer and help collect the money. This year, two ladies will be going bald during 16 May at The Spring, and one of them will be my colleague. I'm so proud of her.

When she first mention she will be going bald, my eyes was popping out from the sockets, and I stare at her and questioned: Are you serious? Then she reply happily, Yay!

Last week she passed me the donation slip, since then me and DD has been collecting money from those around us. And guess what? With just two days, we manage to squeeze out RM740!! Personally I think that's a great success, way way better than giving money to the beggars besides the road side.

Alright, let's talk more about this Go Bald campaign 2010, the below is the abstract from www.sarawak-bloggers.org

The Go Bald Campaign is organized by the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society and it's aim is not only to collect funds, but also help raise awareness for childhood cancer. The Go Bald! Campaign this year aims to target RM1million to help them run the center, as well as use the money to fund their new halfway home which is estimated to cost RM2.5mil. Currently, SCCS is using a century old semi-D house as their halfway home, and they are currently maxed out in terms of space, and hence the need for a new place with more space, and better facilities.

So, wanna do a good cause this year? You can either participate by going bald, or the easiest way, donate money lah...

As a reminder (Investment, Gamble and Risk)

Investment, Gamble and Risk

Laymen always jumble up the meanings of these 3 terms. To them, buying lotteries is an investment; playing stock market or futures product is a gamble. Risk is anything that jeopardizes your job (monthly salary)!

To certain extent, they may be right. But then again, it depends on how much the person knows about his rice-bowl trade and the risk management skills to be applied!

Some ignorant newbies ever told me market entry in futures and FX market was like tossing a coin - so market is about either going up or coming down. I strongly disagreed!

Profit-trading in the market needs some skills. It involves an entry point, an exit point and a stop loss point. A miscalculation of entry price level will jeopardize the other two. Chances of making money or better profit margin will then become minimized!

This set of skills can only be sharpened and enhanced through years of practice and self-enrichment. Many beginners incurred losses because they carried the thoughts that trading was a gamble. They thought it was about market ups and downs. Inexperienced traders think luck plays important part. Skills are secondary. What do you think?

Generally speaking, most people like to punt money in something that is capped with maximal losses e.g. buying lotteries. Some guys told me they were investing with the lottery operator hoping one day they could recoup all monies through a big windfall. To me, I prefer to do something that makes monies everday and plan for early retirement; rather than be broke for most part of my life and hope to be rich just suddenly one day!

Over recent years, many retail traders went into option trading after being baffled by some unscrupulous coach. The banner of such workshop is always sold on the tag line "limited loss, unlimited profit".

That is a fact though. In fact, there is nothing wrong with this caption. However, how different is it if you compare this tag line to buying a series of lottery tickets? Think again carefully.

At the end of the day, most newbies in options trading gave me feedback that they had made little or no money after started trading in it. Majority ended up in red from many small and limited losing positions. Of course, there were others who have made good monies and enjoyed the profits. My point here is not about options trading, stock trading or futures trading. It is about the in-depth knowledge and the proper risk management skills that a trader should have.

The difference between investment and gamble is vast. Investment is executed based on calculated risk and gamble is always outlines on a 50/50 chance or if not, much lower!

Let me stress again. RISK is everywhere!

You could lose your job tomorrow or next month, just like that. In my context, that is also considered as a risk!

As the old saying goes: "High risk begets high gain. Low risk begets low return."

Do not complain of little profits if you have been involved in low risk game. Nevertheless, you could choose to learn or not to learn the techniques of playing high risk games.

Summary:
What you have believed to be low risk may be non-profitable. Instead, you should learn how to control and manage risk in a high-profit yielding business.

Lending a helping hand

How far will a person go to lend a helping hand for those in need? Well, I must say it is an individual to individual case.

Whenever people say lend a helping hand, the first thing that went through my mind is simple stuff such as helping to give a free lift, borrowing a book, or helping out at the old folks home, or lending a helping hand for the charity, be it money or ur time.

Last Saturday, after my shift, I was so happy that I can finally go back and take a rest. Suddenly at the door on my way out of the office, one of my colleague, which is my ex-uni mate, stopped me. Then I received a shocking new (although I'm really tired then and the new didn't fully register in my mind). One of our lecturer back in our uni, David Lee, is actually diagnosed with liver cancer!!

He told me that the news had been spread through email and on friendster too. Since on shift last week, I haven't really got time to check my mail. So today, I go and check my mail. Apparently it's true. I really do receive the email, asking help for a liver donor.

In my opinion, out of the few cases of lending a helping hand, I think lending people money (not those hundreds one, thousands one) and becoming a donor are the hardest for people to do. Maybe it's the culture here in Malaysia. When there is people asking for you to be a donor, most people will chicken out. I'm one of the case. I still remember during uni time, there is this Bulan sabit merah (red crescent) officer asking the students to become a donor, when they pass away. I remembered I was offered to sign on this paper and I got chicken out. I mean ya, a lot of people will give reason that when u r dead, u won't feel the pain anymore. And ur organ might actually safe a person's life. But still, I'm not ready at all for this. Even until now, I'm still not ready for it.

Although my friend say that we can actually donate 1/3 of our liver and our liver will grow back after that. It's easy to feel sympathy towards the victim, but when the real part comes, there is not many people who will have the guts to do it. So, I really salute those who become a donor. I think it's really noble of them.

I know it's bullshit for me writing this post since I won't even consider becoming a donor. But still, I would like to call on those outside who are willing to help our lecturer. David Lee is a very very nice person. His lecture is actually one of those lecture that I'm happy to attend. And whenever you see him, you can always spot a smile on his face.

Here is a photo of David Lee, which was taken in 2004. The guy wearing black T-shirt with a smile on his face.

So, for those of you who would like to find out more about this, find out from HERE.

Is marriage scared

Now, most of you will probably wondering why am I putting up the topic "Is marriage sacred?". This is the topic that has been going through my mind since last night. And finally I would be able to pen it down here in my blog.

Last night, I was following my mum to go to a sister's house for our weekly church home meeting. When the meeting finish and on our way home, my mum suddenly told us that one of the lady who was attending the meeting too (a first timer, since I never saw her before) was actually abandon by her husband! Yes, you heard me correctly. ABANDON by her own husband. Somemore, during the meeting, the lady bring along two sons, who are still young, most probably around 3-5 years old only.

I'm really saddened with the situation that this world has become. Marriage is not consider as life-long nor is it sacred anymore. Where is all the bows and promises made during the wedding? (not to mention the commitment too) Imagine the young mother, who is only in her early 30's, bringing up two young children on her own. How her heart must be broken into thousand pieces when her husband left her. And the young children, what will happen to them? When they grow older and release that their own biological father actually left them. I really cannot imagine....

Here, I would like to share a story that I heard and I think it's very meaningful (To readers of Little Rainbow, by now u should know that I never really talk about religion thingy in my blog, but I would like to make an exception today) I called it the footprints story.

Here, the beach is consider the heart. When you are feeling happy, it's like walking side by side with Jesus on the beach. And from the beach floor, you will see there are 4 footprints along the trail. However, when you are facing problem or when you are depressed, there is only 2 footprints left on the beach. Why? Because you had abandon Jesus? or the other way round, Jesus abandon you?

The answer is, there are only 2 footprints left on the beach because Jesus is actually carrying us from His back. When the situation become so hard to breath, Jesus never abandon us. In fact, He willingly shoulder all our pain and burden.
*I'm not very good at telling this story, but I hope the story gets thru...

I just hope that this young lady will be able to heal as time passes. Among all the scars in the world, emotional scar is the hardest to heal.... hardest to forget.... hardest to let go.... Although she might lost hope in Human, I hope she will be able to seek santuary from God.

Let's pray this young mother will be able to stay strong for her sons' sake.

Terrorist

Went to watch the movie "Vantage Point" last night. A very nice movie regarding the assasination of the president of United State and terrorism in 3rd world country. Nice storyline, nice casts, indeed, an adrenaline rushing movie, especially for the last half an hour.

However, there is a scene in the movie that deeply troubled me. Apparently this group of terrorist is consist of 5 persons?? (Wtf, and they manage to abduct the President) The leader of this gang of terrorist is a person with very high IQ and EQ. And all the cunning plots as it slowly unveiled throughout the movie, you really do salute this genius.

Nevertheless, this is not the point that I would like to make. The scene that truly disturbed me is the so called "suicide bomber" scene. Yes, I had read some news about this suicide bomber in the newspaper but how disturbing it is, when I "actually" saw it in a movie. I will NEVER UNDERSTAND why there is actually a human being capable of doing this (suicide bombing). What is actually going through the mind of this suicide bomber when they decided to pull the trigger to end their life together with lots of other innocent victims?

The unforgettable suicide "aeroplane" bomber

Holy reasons such as it's for "GOD" purpose or for the benefit of all mankind? BULLSHIT!! Taking other ppl life (Which in my opinion nobody has the right to take another human's life except our Creator) then cover the "dirty" act by "coating" it with "sweet" excuses? And somehow this makes the act justifiable?? Go figure...

For me, I think this is an act of utmost cowardice and stupidity. It's everyone responsibility to ensure that we live in a safe and harmony world. More importantly, be responsible to yourself. If everyone can be a bit more nicer, a bit more caring, a bit less selfish, be a bit more tolerant, a bit less angry, then I don't think I'll need to sit here writing this.
