The REASON I have been missing from blogging

The reason I have been missing from blogging, and I do not regret it.

Time spent with my previous little baby is really important. The moment once passed will not repeat itself anymore, that is why I treasure every moment that I can with her. Being a full time working mum, it is not easy balancing work and family. On one hand, I have to work in order to earn and support a living, on the other hand, I would like to be able to see and share her progress of growing all the time. But I guess we have to find a balance.

So, for the balance to exist, I would have to sacrifice the time I spent on blogging. Now that she is 18 months old, I can finally have some "me" time to blog this very important chapter of my life - motherhood. Presenting first time at Little Rainbow's blog, my little baby girl.

February is a special month for our family. Why is it? Because all those surname which is not "Wong" have their birthday during the month of February.

So my mum decided one night for family dinner during February to celebrate their birthdays. So this is the couples photo for your review pleasure. Lol.. My sister used her Samsung S2 apps to edit the photo. Cute le?

Looking Back Year 2011

A lot of big incidents happened in the Year 2011. In short I categorized it as one big great happy new, one big sad new. The saddest thing that happened in my life was that my beloved grandmother passed away this year. I can still remember that is the day I cried the most. Although I had always been closed to my grandma, I wish I could have spend even more time with her. Now that she left us forever, all the great memory I had with her will stay with me forever. Grandma, I'm glad that you are besides our Lord and do not have to suffered anymore.

Grandma and Grandpa

Good news for 2011, I guess most of you who know me all know about it. It's the new chapter of my life as Madam. Lol... Well, some people might consider marriage life as not-so-good-news. Well, some people did say marriage is love's cemetery. Regardless, I think we should always see things in the positive way. ^_^
Marriage

Other things to remember for year 2011 is as usual travel to Krabi, changing department, but still at the old company (sigh), had my first own Coach bag and bought a new smartphone. That is all I can remember now. I will add to the list when I remember. Hehe..

The larger the fish, the 'sweeter' it is.
Guarantee all is wild fish, no muddy taste as those rear fish. Some wild fish has 'aromatic fruity' smell.

My grandma's 80th birthday

Celebrated my grandmother's 80th birthday during the 3rd day of CNY at the "Shin Long Sheng" besides Swinburne University. Ya, I know, it's March now. As I said, I'm busy with my personal life at the moment to really take care of my blog. =P Maybe I will be able to update more frequently by April.

The simple deco

The main table

The first dish, and in my opinion the best. Although some people say the roasted pig is the best.

The 2nd dish. After that I was totally distracted by all the small kids and their demanding attention until I forgot to take the remaining dishes. I blamed all the foods for my weight increased.

Chinese Tradition

Officially starting from today, I hate chinese tradition.

I mean, what are all those nonsense about? Why can't we just follow our own thinking, our own liking, own own preference, our own choice?

Just for the sake of tradition, I have to follow your instruction, I have to do this, I need to do that just to please other people or to fulfill certain rules & regulations which the creator had long been dead and nobody even know the name of that person.

I'm so in the mood to scold bad words and swear.

Why can't the new generation do whatever they want and wish? Kns, just because all the other people are doing that also? Stupid and unreasonable.

I especially hate it when I'm lead by the ear to live my life, rather than my own heart telling me what to do. Things are suppose to be wonderful, but in the end, it's just doing for the sake of doing. The enjoyment, happiness is not there anymore.

But what can I do? In the end I can only give in to the all-mighty tradition.

However, after this, I will live life the way I WANT it. Not your words, his words, her words, nor the tradition, the culture.

Mum and Daughter

Yesterday my dad informed my mum that he will bring her to a dinner with his “ang moh” bosses. Since his bosses are bringing their wives, so naturally, my dad needs to bring my mum along too, since they will be playing the hosts here. Meaning, making the conversation, ordering the dishes, and ensure the dinner is a pleasant one.

Now, my mum is not one with very high education. In fact, she just graduated with a SPM certificate. And she totally panicked when my dad said he will be bringing her along. So, as her smart and loving daughter, I suggested to her a few tactics on “how to communicate with ang moh”.

1. Pardon? I beg your pardon? (The problem having a conversation with ang moh is that you can’t understand or catch their accent)
2. Excuse me?
3. Oh I see, I see…..
4. Just laugh when they finish a sentence if you don’t get it. Hahahaha….
5. If you can’t think of any topic to say, just begin the conversation by making a remark on the weather. Eg: Recently the weather is reeeeally hot! (With an Australia accent)
Now, do I give good advice?
