First Dinner at Erfurt, Germany
After check in and get rid of the 10kg luggage, we quickly grab our time and walk around Erfurt, Germany while searching for a place to eat. Luckily two of our colleagues had been there before and she brought us to a restaurant called Ubersee.
The eating place is just besides the river and the view is so so nice. It's really like going to whole different place compare to Asia.
One of the objectives I had when I knew I had the chance to go Germany was to drink beer or wine to my heart and belly content. So, without thinking much, I ordered a beer. One of my colleagues ordered a black beer instead and highly recommended to me. I did try it out and I have a confession to make, dark beer is way way better than the yellow colour beer. No wonder "Kilkenny" is such a popular drink here in Kch.
The pictures below are the food we ordered that night. Among the three dishes, I love pork ribs the best! Nom nom.... I start to miss the food there.

Frankfurt Germany
Using new airline, Luthansa to fly to Frankfurt Germany from KL. Very very tiring. Can't sleep well, my back ached, and I can't bath for whole day.
Reached Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. Very impressed by the building. Don't be fooled by the sunlight. Although it's sunny, it's extremely cold, at least for me.
Went for a tour at Frankfurt which costed us EURO 15 each. We just hop on a double decker bus, and it took us around Frankfurt and show us all the interesting places. The above photo was taken at a street behind St Paul Church. I am totally in love with the building there.
Another tourist attraction place.
After walking around Frankfurt for 4 hours, we took a train to go Erfurt. Along the way, we encountered a lot of unfortunately incidents, starting with us (me and my colleagues, this is a business trip) boarding the wrong train. Luckily one of our colleagues found out that we board the wrong train and quickly abort the train to take the next one. But alas, the train we board had technical issue causing us to strand at no where for 20min followed by a mechanical fix at the next train station before reaching our destination. Total journey = 3 hrs where as normal journey took only 2 hrs.
Alas, I reached our hotel at Erfurt, Intercity hotel. A nice cosy two single beds room.

Whole body aching
Last night went out and play squash with a bunch of young people. Man, it's either my age is getting older or I seldom exercise, now my whole body is aching. Especially my right arm and both my legs. I found it hard to walk up and down the stair.
Maybe I push myself too hard. I shouldn't. Now I am a bit regret. How can I enjoy my holiday in this state?

Bali Trip Day 3 - Part 1
1st Destination: Ulu Danu
Then we reached the destination Ulu Danu, also called as "Temple in the middle of the Lake". The entrance fee, Rp 10k per person.
As usual, entrance fee = Rp 10k.
Next in Part 2: Jimbaran Beach + seafood dinner.
Went uphill again today on Day 3 and stop by a Restaurant called Mentari for buffet lunch. For me, the quality of the buffet is extremely poor for the value that I was paying. I actually paid Rp 288k for a plate of food shown in the picture below.
Then we reached the destination Ulu Danu, also called as "Temple in the middle of the Lake". The entrance fee, Rp 10k per person.
And there it is. The temple in the middle of the lake. The weather is extremely hot that day. With the sundress that I'm wearing, I got some serious sunburn that day.
2nd Destination: Tanah Lot
2nd Destination: Tanah Lot
After visiting Ulu Danu, we went to visit Tanah Lot, also known as "Temple in the middle of the sea". Lol... These balinese ppl really know how to squeeze whatever they can from the tourist.
As usual, entrance fee = Rp 10k.

Mum and Daughter
Yesterday my dad informed my mum that he will bring her to a dinner with his “ang moh” bosses. Since his bosses are bringing their wives, so naturally, my dad needs to bring my mum along too, since they will be playing the hosts here. Meaning, making the conversation, ordering the dishes, and ensure the dinner is a pleasant one.
Now, my mum is not one with very high education. In fact, she just graduated with a SPM certificate. And she totally panicked when my dad said he will be bringing her along. So, as her smart and loving daughter, I suggested to her a few tactics on “how to communicate with ang moh”.
1. Pardon? I beg your pardon? (The problem having a conversation with ang moh is that you can’t understand or catch their accent)
2. Excuse me?
3. Oh I see, I see…..
4. Just laugh when they finish a sentence if you don’t get it. Hahahaha….
5. If you can’t think of any topic to say, just begin the conversation by making a remark on the weather. Eg: Recently the weather is reeeeally hot! (With an Australia accent)

Now, do I give good advice?
