Yahoo!! I received a surprise yesterday after going back from work. During dinner time, I spotted some mails on the table. Curious to see if there is any address to me, strangely I found this. (Usually all my mail is either from the bank asking me to pay my credit card bills or my Celcom bills. That's all the letters I ever received)

When I first see the letter, I was curious. Who is this letter from? Because I got no idea who send this mail to me. So, carefully, I opened the letter.

And imagine my surprise when I saw that it's actually from Padini.

The I read through the letter (and assume that it's actually a statement of how much I spend in that shop alone). I was shocked when I saw that the amount spent in this shop alone~ Padini, is actually RM550.05 last year alone!! And I remember not using the membership card when I shop at KL (which I think I spent a total of RM200 for the two trips there) That is equivalent to RM700 in a year! ~_~ No wonder ppl ask me to shop less in this economy downturn now.




And that's when suddenly a small piece of paper fall out.

And it's actually a RM20 Rebate Voucher. Yippee!!

Go Green, Plant Trees

Haha... I did not plant trees at home. Instead, I plant leaves in the office. This week, I make the decision that I will plant something green at my desk. To start of with this project, you must prepare the materials.

What do you need? 1. An empty/used container.

Yes, there is a green plant finally at my desk. Hehe.. I told some of my colleagues that I am going to plant something. And the response that I got is "Good Luck". Now, what is the meaning of this? Do they really think that my plant won't survive? Hmmm... I'm still not sure. I came to the office this morning and the plant still looks the same to me. Anyway, I will update next week on my little plant's progress. ;)

Hmm... I cut my fringe yesterday. However, nobody seems to notice it. Does this mean my "cutting" skill is good? Or in actuality, there is no difference at all?

Tarot Cafe

As usual, Friday is my Off Day. Well, since it's my off day, I decided to have lunch at a place where I never been to. Think, think, think, and finally I decided to go to Tarot Cafe, which is not far from my house.

Choose to sit beside the walls fill with tarot cards.

Calculate using my birth date. Turn out my number is 7. My lucky colour is Black, White and Blue. Well, no wonder most of my clothes is black in colour.

Order their special nasi lemak. Quite spicy their special sambal. The taste, so so only in my opinion.

Ais honey. Not bad, maybe because my food too spicy for me. That's why I think this drink is nice.

To prove that I did really go to this place, here is a photo of me sitting besides that tarot cards. Unfortunately, I think I look bad in the photo. My hair is in a mess and my face is too round. In the end, I did a little changes to the photo. But still, you can know it's me. ;)

Go Bald Campaign

Ever since Kenny promote the Go Bald campaign, I had been wanting to donate and see his head shave bald. Well, tonight I finally meet him in person and see how his round is his head without all the extra hair on it.

Walked around. Go buy a McD ice cream while waiting for the real man to arrive.
Finally, he was here. Entertaining other gals.

Well, what is the point of going there if I don't go and take photo with the real man right? Quickly walk over and ask is it ok for him to take photo with me? Then quickly ask my fren, Irene to join and take photo together.

Finally, the real show is going to start. Before having his head shave, Kenny has the last word with his hair.

Then the real show started. He closed his eyes in the beginning. I think he is regretting his own decision against his better judgment.

After that, he raised RM2500 that night along by agreeing to shave his head even shinier. Well, he did manage to raise that amount, so, the total amount that he managed to raise is actually RM65,000.

Basically I think this is really for a good cause. The money will go into the fund to help all those cancer children in Sarawak. Well, maybe not all the cancer children, but at least a handful of it. And I think they will thank those that had donated to this campaign.

Pampering

Let me tell you a secret, this coming 20-Feb is my 3 year working anniversary. So I plan to buy something nice to pamper myself. (You know lah, just to reward myself and spending all those hard earn money for once on myself for working my butt off) Here is some list. What does u think I should indulge?

3. Spa / Facial
4. Tiffany (This one most probably say say only, price too expensive)
5. Handbags
6. C&K shoes (low priority cuz i dun really like shoes)

Bored

With the 4 days leave now, but less spending incurred due to the economy, the only thing I can do during off days is just stay at home, watch tv, surfing and msn. This life is so boring. Can't really go out shopping as the temptation is too huge. I know myself. Window shopping for me is just an excuse. If I see something nice, I have to buy it. Else I will think about it all the time. And this will make me moody. (See how the economy downturn is affecting me?)

So, to prevent this, better stay at home right? No temptation, no spending, no moodiness.

But, but.....


Staying at home while everyone else is working???? That's just plain B.O.R.E.D. With nothing much to do at home except a laptop and wireless connection, what I do mostly is just blog hopping. But then blog hop oh... I go to blogs that show nice pictures of handbags, shoes and accessories. Today I accidentally hop into 2 really nice blogs. Since V days is coming soon, you can see all those nice, cute stuff suddenly popping out like all the mushroom that I'm planting today.

Sushi King

Looks familiar this place? Well, there's a fish and SUSH word in the picture. I guess all of you should know this place. Yup, it's call SUSHI KING.

The Sushi King at Bouvelard. Went for lunch at the Spring beginning of this week with my bro and his friend. Actually this is the second time I ate at Spring Sushi King, but in my opinion the sushi here is just so-so. But the price is quite reasonable.

We search and spotted some of the sushi that we plan to eat and order some that is available in the menu but not available at the never-ending rotating belt. If you wonder what colour plate equivalent to how much, here's the info:

This is the total number of plates that we manage to "sapu" that afternoon. Not bad for just the 3 of us.

Total amount that we have to pay for the bill that day. Still got 5% government tax?? I thought it's cancel already? Can anyone confirm?

Kenny Sia go Bald

Kennysia is going to shave his big round head BALD!! Not because he just got heart-broken, but because he decided to start the Ox Year with a BIG Bang. However, he will only go BALD if he reaches the target of RM50k for charity. So, for those of you who love to see him bald, pls donate and enjoy the LIVE show on 12th Feb, 8pm at the Spring.

For those who don't know Kennysia, it's ok. Do it for a good cause. The money donated will go into the SCCS (Sarawak Children's Cancer Society), a non-profitable organisation. Help those children. Ease their pain and give them a reason to smile.

Flooding at Sibu

Dear all, as promised before, here's the Sibu flooding photos. (My little Halloween hat nice or not? Hehe)

All the palm trees become coconut trees. Can you believe this is a roundabout?

Look at how dirty the water is. I'm never going to this Shell station anymore.

Kiddy school flooded. Eww.... I wonder if any parents will send their small kids to this kind of places anymore.
It's so unhygienic.

Poor house flooded. Just one to two more inches and the murky water will go into the house.

Qimonda in US close down

Today there is another rumour. I heard Qimonda (A DRAM manufacturer) close down (as in WD Kuching case) for all the sites. However, after confirming with an employee there at Senai, he told me that for today, 4/2/09 Malaysian date, only the US site shutting down in Richmond, cutting 1500 jobs. Wow.... That is A LOT OF people.

However, my friend is not so optimistic about the site at M'sia. He mentioned that US site actually send out the official email in the morning to the employees without prior notice and by the afternoon, all the employees are lay-off, without any pay or compensation.

This is bad. And it will get worst. As quoted from the US President Obama, he is alarmed at how fast the US economy has deteriorated, and worrying it keeps him awake at night.


Even the president is having sleepless night over this economy downturn. I have a solution for insomnia, TRY THE SLEEPING PILLS.

Datuk Lee Chong Wei at tHe Spring

It's still my holiday today. So, I went out with my little brother to settle some stuffs then we decided to go Spring to have our lunch. When we went into the carpark, I heard from the PA system that Malaysian Team player, Datuk Lee Chong Wei and his trainer, Datuk Misbun Sidek is at tHe Spring having their lunch. Without much hesitation, I went over to the food court and try to search out the Malaysian Badminton King.

And there he is, sitting with his trainer and team members. At first I was a bit paiseh to take photo with him. But since most of the people just go over there and sit besides him to take photo or asked him for autograph, I asked the Spring personnel can I take photo with him ah? (Because at first my impression is that take photo with him need to pay money one)

Then I walked shyly over to his place and asked sweetly "Can I take photo with you?" You will never guess his reply! He actually nodded and pat the chair besides him to gesture me to sit there. Wahahaha..... That's how I managed to take photo with him. Just the two of us nia oh.... But the revolution of the picture not so good, because I didn't really expect to meet anyone at Spring. Hence, the photo was taken using my phone camera.

Short talk

Hi All!! Finally, I'm back to Kch, after going through the natural disaster in Sibu. Yupe, it's flooding in Sibu. Luckily we manage to find a road that is submerged with 1.5 feet of water to pass through and reach Kuching at 11.30pm. Will upload all the flooding picture in Sibu once I have rest enough. Hehe... Still a bit tired and in the holiday mood.
