Mating Season

Is it because winter has reaches it's end, and spring is coming in full blossom or the facts that there are TWO new shopping complexes in Kuching? I actually found out that even in my garden, everything exist in a pair. Haha... curious? Well, let me descript the scenario.
At the back of my garden my dad plant some vegetables. On one fine day, "someone" just happen to walk to the garden looking at some vegetables to pluck. Guess what did "she" find out when "she" was inspecting the vegetables.....

Pairs and pairs of insects. Hmmm... "she" is not sure whether the things are bettles or just normal insects, but apparently it's THE time of the year....

Yes, you guess correctly. And apparently no matter what the disturbance (a pair of innocent big eyes looking at the scene, or wind blowing hard at them, or giant hands shaking the vege), no, they (the insects) won't budge at all. Apparently ENJOYING the spur of the moment very very very much....

Lucky Lady's finger, become the bed for the beetles...
I won't dare to eat the vege for meals...

Necessities in Life

What are the necessities in life? The infamous 4 things that every Teacher taught us during primary school are “Clothes, food, accommodation, transportation”.

But in current age, the modern age, does this still consider as NECESSITY? Well, for me, it’s not a necessity anymore. Basically, it’s a part of our life. Like the air we breathe, the water that we drink… we can’t live without these 4 “basics”.

So, at the current age, what are the NEW necessities? Hehe.. for me, the necessity will have to be:- A laptop with Internet connection, shopping complex, cheese cake and a camera handphone. And that ladies and gentlemen, it the newest “Necessities in Life” – according to Professor JW from the Ju-ju World.

My current laptop. Sweet Innocent Joybook. (I'm addicted to everything that is white in colour now)
<This is heaven on earth>

Mouth watering cheese cake... Can anyone resist this?

My handphone. (Sony Ericsson K800i)

Okie. That's Part I of the research. Part II will be publish soon. (A sneak preview for part II, it's about watch) ^^

*(10-16 points) You are Garfield: You are very comfortable, easy going, and you definitely know how to have fun but sometimes you take it to an extreme. You always know what you are doing and you are always in control of your life. Others may not see things as you do, but that doesn't mean that you always have to do what is right. Try to remember, your happy spirit may hurt you or others.

*(17-23 points) You are Snoopy: You are fun, you are very cool and popular. You always know what's in and you are never are out of style You are good at knowing how to satisfy everyone else. You have probably disappeared for a few days more than once but you always come home with the family values that you learned Being married and having children are important to you, but only after you have had your share of fun times.

*(24-28 points) You are Elmo: You have lots of friends and you are also popular, always willing to give advice and help out a person in need. *(29-35 points) You are Sponge Bob Square Pants: You are the classic person that everyone loves. You are the best friend that anyone could ever have and never wants to lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never not understand your feelings. Life is a journey, it's funny and calm for the most part. Stay away from traitors and jealous people, and you will be stress free.

*(36-43 points) You are Charlie Brown: You are tender, you fall in love quickly but you are also very serious about all relationships. You are a family person. You call your Mom every Sunday. You have many friends and may occasionally forget a few Birthdays. Don't let your passion confuse you with reality.

*(44-50 points) You are Dexter: You are smart and definitely a thinker... Every situation is fronted with a plan. You have a brilliant mind. You demonstrate very strong family principles. You maintain a stable routine but never ignore a bad situation when it comes.

*Try to do less over thinking every once in a while to spice things up a bit with spontaneity. Now don't spoil it! Have some Fun!!

Looking back (2007)

I just happened to "bump" into kennysia.com today when I was looking thru Mike's blog (Cubicle 24/7). And

WOW... I just happened to read some really nice blogs... haha... especially the one regarding the sex tape by the Health Minister. OMG, how I wish I can write as well as him.

Then as I "curi ular" during office hour to browse through his website. And I happen to read about twenty four stuffs that he did the previous year... Owww.. I am so jealous lah... So, I am trying to think back and squeeze my head what had I done the year before...

1) Climb the highest Mountain.....and conquer it... in Kuching. ;p

2) Went out of Malaysia first time using MY OWN PASSPORT.

Thought of taking a snapshot of my passport but a close friend of mine say my face looks round in it. so.... no picture.

3) Touch a dolphin!

4) Starting a blog.

You are looking at it now...

5) Had my first bowl of Sarawak Laksa.

Yea yea I know... I was borned and raised in Kch for all my life but I only had my first Laksa last year...

6) Be the witness for my friend's marriage registration. v(^_^)v

7) Become a lesbian and kiss a gal... right on the lips. Wahahaha.... (2x i think, rite Red Bull?)

True or not you ask?? Guess it yourself.. ;P

8) Cut my hair short just before new year after keeping the same hair style for 7 years.

Hmmm... Basically I can't come out with anything else. But AT LEAST I still manage to do something meaningful in Year 2007. Now that I finally gotten my own passport, I plan to go to at least 1 different country for holiday each year. Hehe.. (Cuz I'm a frog living inside the well. The only country outside M'sia that I went is Singapore only, which is last year ~_~) This year target:- Bangkok. ^^

And the next objective of 2008, which I doubt I will be able to do it.. -_- Is to eat Durian. *Eyes popping out for all of u out there* Oh my gosh... I feel ashamed saying it out here but nevertheless, nobody can force me to eat that durian. It will have to come naturally. Hopefully one day I will be able to take a taste of this famous King of the fruits. Why many will ask. I really dun have an answer. ~.~' *************pls dun beat me..

Being single...

Being single at the age of 26? Is it a good sign or not? Well, I can only say it depends on individual. And why suddenly i brought up this topic... Hmmm.. maybe because all of a sudden, most of my friends are getting married.. and some, even on the way of becoming a mother soon... in fact.. some is already a Mother!!
Being single in my opinion is actually does have it's advantages and disadvantages. Well, one of the disadvantages of being single I will say.. at this age is that parents or older relatives will starts their role as a "considerate" person and pester you with lots and lots of questions. Some can't even wait to become the match maker in order to earn some angpao (as extra money to play mahjung, I presume ~_~'). Anyway, during this time when you go out for a family gathering or visiting, especially during this coming CNY, I guess the questions will be repeating itself over and over again... sigh.... and then you have to have this silly smile on your face since you can't really get angry over them since they are consider "higher" ranking than you or if you show any dissatifaction and start talking a winny little bit over your normal voice.. then this rumours of "OMG, this gal is so impolite to older generation" will spread like fire over the whole continent..(that's the power of gossip) which can be shameful for your parents.. if you were in their shoes... So, what did i answer normally.. I just smile and say I want to be my daddy's little girl for 5 more years... haha... and usually they will stop asking more questions.
Another disadvantage I will say is loneliness.. that will haunt you once in a while... although you are surrounded with frens... Sometimes, like a normal outing with frens.... there are bound to be couples here and there.. and since currently.. most of my frens are either married or engaged or not available anymore.. Going out with them you will be bound to see some mushy mushy behaviour once in a while.. which will make you feel like you are the lightbulb. I can tell you very truthfully.... it's not very nice being lighbulb..... It makes you feel lonely....
However, apart from these disadvatages that I can think of... I actually ENJOY my single life. YES!! I enjoy it... and I mean it 100%. Never in my life that did I enjoy my life more than now. And why is it? Maybe because it's my previous failed relationship? or that I am working and supporting myself? or that I am finally mature and think differently than I did a couple years ago? Anyway... I guess it's the feeling of controling your life by yourself.. and enjoying all the time to do whatever that you feel like doing too.. and controlling your feeling the way you want it too... When you are in a relationship, yes, you will feel happy.. but your emotion will be govern by the other half too.... and if he did not meet your expectation, you feel frustrated and angry. I guess this is a situation where every couple will face during the gf/bf stage. And if you dun, i suggest you break up... (since you dun really like him and the least you can do is be fair to him)
Being single is nice... meaning you can have different circle of friends to do different activities. Besides that, you have more free time to do stuff that you had always wanted to but never seem to find times to do it.. (learning hip hop dance, playing piano, mountain climbing, travelling across different countries, or just lay there becoming a pig for whole day) I dun mean when you are not single you can't do it.. But the chances of doing all this is slim... and usually... being able to do so means sacrificing other stuff (ignoring your other half etc etc)
Being single does have it's good and bad.. But don't ever start a relationship just because you are lonely... or become desperate as you reach the age where majority of the society is getting into this stage (like one of my fren.. who is desperate to get a partner that he chases like 5 gals in 2 years time?? And the result? none agree to be his gf and why is it? The answer is simple.. "You are too desperate and gals dun want to start a relationship with you" That's why!!) Enjoy life as it is... Receive what life has for you and when the time is right... You will find the ONE for you. There is no rushing for this kind of stuff...... And yes, I do believe in fate.
Open your eyes, open your heart... Listen to your heart and enjoy the life while you can... as every stage of life will not repeat itself once it's gone. Since you are single now, enjoy it fully.. And when you finally find your other half... enjoy that stage of life. For now, enjoy the freedom ;) Fill your days with memory that others missed.
Hehe.. for those of you wondering how come I suddenly wrote about this kind of stuff on my blog.. let me tell you the reason... it's because I am BORED to the very bone of my body. Currently sitting in my office chair.. I feel like falling asleep if I dun busy myself doing something. Anyway, those who are curious... Yes, I am enjoying my single life now.. and loving every second of it.... ;) And am I desperate? The answer is "NO". Cuz if I am.. I would have accepted any of the guys that court me. ^_^ keke... show off kononnya...

Lost my little ring

I'm not sure when it happened. But on Saturday, I got this subconsuous feeling that my ring, which is at my little finger is not adjusted properly. And when I touch it without looking at my finger, I noticed that my ring had actually disappear!!

Actually it's just a normal silver little ring that I bought for RM5. But nevermind, this is not the main point. The main point is that this ring has been with me for... i dunno.. 5 years? or is it 7 years? I can't really recall.. but in my memory... I had always had this little ring on my left hand. And now that it was lost.. i did feel a bit weird.. as I had a habit of touching my ring... and turning it around.. just for the sake of it. >.<>

Anybody who find a small ring.. pls inform me ya... I wan my ring back oh....
The ring is as shown in the photo below

Small Japanese restaurant, SanDonTei

The other night, I was going out with fren kia kia and looking for a place for a drink. At first we plan to go to this place beside Banana split but unfortunately it was not open. Thus, when we make a right turn, then suprise suprise..... we actually saw a Japanese restaurant... which is at the same block with the new Pop wave.

At first we think it's a very grand japanese restaurant, but there is no one in the shop when we arrive. And the menu, it's only one B4 page... food together with drinks... and drink is occuping half of the page.... Needless to say, there isn't much choices. Anyway, here are some of the photos.

Oh ya: silly me.. i forget to inform u where is this shop. It's located at Banquet, same row with the new Pop wave. ^^

tHe Spring

The spring was officially open yesterday 10-Jan 2008. Hehe.. normal ppl (sane ppl) most probably will not choose to go to spring on THAT day as it's a norm that ALL Kch ppl will flock to go this place. I guess it must been such a long time that there is nothing new here in Kch, tat's why on the first day Boulevard was open, the traffic jam is actually all the way up to the 3rd mile roundabout.

But we three ladies, can't resist the temptation of shopping at a brand new shopping complex. Especially with all the new shops such as Padini, Guess, Quicksilver etc etc... which is only available at KL. So, you can guess our ethusism when tHe spring open. And the truth, it's really jam, but we are pretty lucky.. we actually find a car park in 5 min time.... hehehe...

OMG.. when I went in tHe spring, it's totally like walking into a sardine canne. It's super jam with thousands of people. (I'm wondering is all the Kch population is here?) The decoration inside the shopping complex was superb. The main decor is (as you can see from the photos) "SAKURA". The national flower of Japan.

In my opinion, I think tHe spring is much better than Boulevard. Maybe because of all the fashion shops that are only available there, in fact, only in Sarawak. And the food court.. my gosh.. it's so packed with people that we can't even find a place to sit. And there is much more choices than Boulevard food court.

And while we are doing our shopping, there is actually a fashion show being here at ground floor. Models catwalking showing off the clothes, handbag and hairstyle...

All in all, I like Spring. At least for now. Hehe... And I am planning to go there again tomorrow. ^_^

Learn from book or thru experience

Hehe... Davina Didi (refer to My friends and family link on the right) put a very interesting topic about reading from the book or learning through life experience. Which I have to AGREE 100% that we cannot learn about life or human behaviour nor attitude from just a book... What the book is about is just what the Author's experience or research.

Behaviour or attitude is a very complex thing. So is the feeling called LOVE. You can never experience love by reading a book, nor reading a book on how to court girls can guarantee you that you can "pikat" a girl 100% without fail. Book such as "Guys are from Mars and Girls are from Venus" only tell the readers in general the difference between guy and girl. But are all the girls are in the same category?? The answer is NO!! But, there is just some guys, that can never ever know this? Why you ask me? I had no idea. I feel like plucking every hair i got on my head but what's the point. Like what ah ko said, a leapord can never get rid of its spots. Ah ge will always remain as ah ge. ;)

So, the advice, reading from a book does have its advantages (cannot say don't have at all), but it's just to give you a general idea. And TAT'S ALL. Nothing more nothing less. Do not (never ever) live your life just base on a book that you read. Experience it.... Then only will you able to judge/comment the book. Only then you will know how different the book is from your REAL Experience.

Last but not least: Live your life fully... by experiencing it with your heart... not through a book by your brain...

New monitor at my workplace.

Hehe.. Suprise suprise. This morning suddenly there's IT guy came around with a bunch of new flat screen monitor. I'm not sure where the budget comes from but my new monitor now is 20inches wide. Wahahaha.. Good for the eyes but apparently i can't go blogging or msn as silently as i wish now. :-S
Hey, everybody.. I am actually using the mobile blogging. And it's super easy.. try it out...

Fortune for 2008

Ppl say gals are supertitious. Well, personally I am not very supertitious, but I do read all those stuff about horoscope, blood type etc etc... and since this is a brand new year.. I am indeed curious as of how this year will turn out for me... Hehe.. and it turns out that this year is not bad le.. at least base on the fortune... Btw, this is only for me, myself, which is borned is the Dog year, 1982. ^^

General
There is both good and bad news for those born in the year of the Dog. The bad news is that there is much instability this year. Your plans may seem to be smooth sailing but will suddenly hit a rock. You tend to be accident-prone this year and may have cuts and bruises. There are also signs of surgery. The good news is that you are given a special waiver card this year to wave off your troubles. In another words, no matter what crisis, challenges or obstacles you face this year, it will turn out well. The only thing you must remember is to keep your cool in the face of trouble. The solution will come to you before you know it. If you have elders at home, do take note of their health and safety.

Career
This is an average year in terms of career. The only concern is that you always need to make contingency plans for whatever you are doing. The reason is that the challenges usually will strike fast and when least expect ed. Though the problems will resolve themselves, do keep your cool in the meantime so as not to aggravate it.

Wealth
This is an unstable year for wealth. Sometimes you may find that you are earning a lot, but you may also realize that you have spent more than you should. It is important to watch your expenses.

Relationship
If you are attached or married, your relationship is stable. If you are single, there is still a chance for you to meet someone especially in the early part of the year. If there are some suitable candidates, do consider seriously whether you will like it to develop into a relationship. Do not take too long to think because the opportunity will not wait for anyone.

Health
You are accident-prone this year. You tend to have cuts and there are signs of bleeding. There are also signs that you might go through surgery. Please be extra careful in terms of your safety, especially if you are handling sharp objects or opera ting heavy machinery. If you have elders at home, please take extra care of their health and safety.

People
You do not need to pay much attention to this area in this year.

Hehe.. this is only my fortune from one source. Apparently there is other fortune telling with different predict. Base on this the only problem I need to take care this year is apparently my health. Anyway, my advice, just read it for pleasure and DO NOT believe it 100%.

Vote: 2007 or 2008 Hairstyle?

Hehe... Beginning of this new year, I make a drastic change... Lol... I consider it as drastic since I had been having the same hairstyle for 7 years since I went to Uni. Now, I cut my hair until neckline length. Check out the picture for some of my 2007 pic and 2008 pic. After I had my hair cut, I had receive a lot of comments... Some said that with long hair, I look more mature and feminine... Some said with new hairstyle I look cuter and younger. Some negative comment that I had is that with this new hairstyle I look like "Ah De" (from my mischievous little brother) Some say with my new hair, my face looks bigger. Keke...

So, what do you think? Should I keep this hairstyle for sometime or I will have to start letting it grow and never attempt this again. ;) Appreciate all the honest opinion! ^^

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!

Hi all!! Happy new year... All the best for this new year. =) Hehe.. Wake up at 12noon today. Wa, am I shocked when i look at the time. Hehe... this is the first time after working that I ever woke up so late. Anyway, today is public holiday. Nothing much today too at home.

Surfing the net today... Since I remember that during Christmas, google.com is having a lot of different logo on tat day and before tat. So I was kind of anticipating for this. But when I surf the net yesterday, I was disappointed to see the normal logo. However, luckily today the google logo is special. The google actually implemented the 2008 figure in the typical logo.

So, this year is the mickey year... Hopefully this will turn out to be a good and prosperous year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

New Year Eve..... 31-Dec

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

OCCASION: NEW YEAR EVE & COLIN'S BIRTHDAY
TIME: 7.30PM
VENUE: MERDEKA PALACE

The menu on New Year Eve
Dish #1: Anitpasto Misto Italianno
Review: Basically it's three pieces of food situated in between three sources. The taste not bad lah.. But the one showing on the left, I don't particularly like that taste.

Dish #2: Stracciatella alla Romana
Review: It's a soup with a "egg-like" thingy inside. At first we thought it's an egg, but it turns out to be a dumpling.

Dish #3: Gnochetti Contadini
Review: This dish is the most filling among all the dishes. The little cubes are potato mixed with other sources. So, it doesn't really taste like potato.

Main course:

Dish #4: Grigliata Di Manzo al Porcine e Tartufo
Review: Beef steak

OR

Dish #4: Dentice Re Del Mare
Review: Fish with baby lobster and pumpkin

Dish #5: Dolci
Review: Chocolate cake for dessert.

Then we celebrate Colin's birthday. Here's the photo of the birthday boy... New Year boy too, since his birthday is exactly on New Year. So nice to have holiday every year during your birthday. He is 29 years old this year. Keke..

This is Colin's birthday present. Hehe.. A watch and "XXX". Hehe.. The little red square thing on the left corner of the photo. ;) Take a guess. Finally, little Colin is growing up. Getting his first 003 - a road to maturity. Wonder when he is going to use it. Hopefully by this year... before he turns 30. ^_^

Outside at the lobby after we finish our dinner. We are wearing the same black mini skirt. Sexy or not?? hehe..

Chirstmas Tree at the center of the lobby.
